We celebrated “The world Environment day” on June 5th.The Principal Mrs. Kadambari, Administration Officer Mr. Mallikarjuna Prasad, The teaching , Non- teaching Staff & students of Grade X planted saplings in the school campus and educated the kids about the importance of flora and fauna in our daily life. The students and staff actively participated in the planting of trees in the campus taking forward the “GO GREEN MOVEMENT”.
With a Zeal to make the Academic year a success in the mind & with a determination to bring a positive change in each & every kid , Seeking the Blessings of Lord Ganesha we kick started theAcademic session on June 13th.To make the reunion of students with the teachers & also to faciltate the new entrants different activitues were planned & successfully executed . The motto of this day was Infotainment .
In order to increase the flexibility of the body and to enhance the co-ordination of body, mind and soul and to make the kids understand the importance of YOGA “International Yoga Day “ was celebrated on JUNE 21st
The students from all the classes & the teachers participated in this event.This event was presided over by Miss Khyathi reddy of Grade X. She has the credit of winning many medals & trophies in various yoga competitions.
Wherever the art of medicine is loved, there is also a love of humanity.” To socialize the kids and make them confident to mingle with the society and to make them understand the importance of professional groups “Doctors Day” was celebratedon July 1st . Kids interacted with famous doctors of in the city of Kurnool and asked various doubts and enjoyed their company without any inhibitions. “शरीरे जर्जरीभूते व्यIधिग्रस्ते कलेबरे. औषधं जाह्नवीतोयं वैद्यो नारायणो हरिः” We the BOMIS kurnool produly salute all the doctors for their immense services to the Mankind.
With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of Red colour, KG wing celebrated “Red day” on 29th July 2024.A day dedicated to the Red colour was marked with children dressed in different hues and tints of Red . Children were not only beautifully dressed in their favourite Red dresses but also brought Red objects to make it a complete Red Day
“A smile remains the most inexpensive gift..” Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing. We at Birla Open Minds Kurnool took a step towards making the kids Smile more healthy by a DENTAL CAMP in association with G. Pulla Reddy Dental College Doctors on 8th August 2024.
“A true leader has the confidence to stand alone, the courage to make tough decisions, and the compassion to listen to the needs of others.” We the BOMIS Kurnool are determined to make future leaders. We teach them true leadership & the value of vote . The student council elections were conducted on 9th August2024. The mega program started with the announcement of Mr.Eshwar as the Chief Election Commissioner & Mr.Chandra sekhar as Asst. Chief Election Commissioner. The Parliamentary System of elections procedure was exactly followed giving them a practical exposure to the elections. The Campaigning & the debates conducted honed up their linguistic skills. The election campaigning improved their social skills & intellectual skills. . Every activity designed & implemented in this school is solely dedicated towards a specific learning outcome & not done just for an activity sake.
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.” It reminds us that there is so much to discover outside of our comfort zones, and every new destination is like a new chapter waiting to be explored. So, We gave our kids to flip the pages and immerse themselves in new experiences on 12th August 2024. Connecting them to the nature, tying their souls to the evergreen plants, the field trip to the nursery was an exciting & an entertaining one.
“With great power comes great responsibility, and we are ready to accept it.” The Investiture Ceremony is an spirited one where the Student Council Ceremoniously take their responsibilities as school leaders. Wearing these badges is a commitment to serve others, not just a privilege. The Investiture Ceremony was conducted on August 15th 2024 before the starting of the Independence day Celebrations.
“Sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil me hai”. With a pride in our heart as Indians , with a gratitude for all freedom fighters in our eyes, with a pledge that we take the country forward ,we the Birla Open minds school wish the nation a Happy Independence Day. On this auspicious occasion the students presented a dance performance before the august crowd of Kurnool in the presence of honorable Cabinet Minister Shri .TG Bharath garu, District Collector shri Ranjith Basha garu, District SP shri Bindhu Madhav garu and DEO of Kurnool Shri Salmon garu.
A gala program was also conducted in the school premises. Our beloved CEO Smt. Charitha Reddy garu graced the occasion and hoisted our national flag and received the Guard Of Honour. The Pre Primary kids stole the show with their attire in National leaders & Freedom Fighters. They even Performed a beautiful dance. Kids of Grade 1,2 & 3 Performed a skit on national unity . Kids proved their mettle in Taekwondo, Yoga, Dance, Music ,Oration etc.. It was a whole some package of both Skill, Energy ,Endurance & Enthusiasm at display. Our hearts filled with joy looking at their fantabulous skills being displayed.
“The transformation from separation to unity, from conflict to peace, is the goal of all spiritual traditions”. Rakhi was celebrated with Pomp and gaiety on August 19th 2024. Children learnt to make rakhis. They tied rakhis to their friends and classmates. The art of tying the hearts together with a tradition of tying a colored thread to the wrist is carefully & ceremoniously handed over to the younger our generations in our school. Beautifully & traditionally dressed little hearts stole the show.
“Culture is the form of religion; Religion is the substance of culture” . krishnashtami was celebrated on 24th August 2024, with religious fervour representing the varied and rich culture of our country. Children came to school dressed as Krishna and radhas. Kids of pre primary & Primary performed various dances. The students of high school recited shlokas from Bhagavad githa , Students from high school sang a melodious song on Krishna. Principal Mrs Kadambari explained the qualities which made Krishna to be reverred as God. The Krishna Tatva was beautifully explained. Pot breaking was ceremonially conducted, students enjoyed the swing tied to a neem tree and sweets were distributed.

Telugu day was celebrated on 29th August 2024. Being proud to be born on the telugu speaking land , the students and staff paid their respects to the the telugu talli portrait & started the celebration. The School Principal enlightened the students about the need to respect their language. Shahshini of Grade -1 dressed up as telugu talli became the center of attraction. This was followed by speeches, poem recitations, and songs.
“Old age is just a record of one’s whole life.” Give yourself entirely to those around you. Be generous with your blessings. A kind gesture can reach a wound that only compassion can heal. “Child should be sensitized to situations and should understand the feelings of compassion, sharing, understanding feelings of others and should understand the need and joy of giving and taking. “To enhance these qualities of the hostel kids were taken to an Old Age Home where kids interacted with the residents who shared their life memoirs with the students, and enjoyed the happiness of giving and sharing. The students also showed them the play which they did on the social Dogmas & every resident could connect it with their real life incidents. Their anecdotes left an indelible mark on our young one’s minds, they promised to bring a change in the society they live in.
A generation which ignores history has no past -- and no future. “The history of the world is the history of a few people who had faith in themselves.” To ceremoniously introduce our younger generation to our great legacy, the kids of pre primary were taken to an ancient historical site in Kurnool which stand as an epitome of our great patriotism . This Field trip not only was educative but also gave an opportunity to have fun & strengthened their bond with others. This field trip was conducted on 4th September 2024. We thank all the Pre primary Parents for their unwavering support in making all the activities & trips a grand success.
“Better than a thousand days of diligent study is one day with a great teacher.” अज्ञानतिमिरान्धस्य ज्ञानाञ्जनशालाकया चक्षुरुन्मीलितं येन तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः”. Teacher’s day celebration was celebrated on 5th September 2024. The day started with the Principal addressing the students on the importance of a teacher in every ones life. Our beloved CEO Mrs Charitha Reddy garu added colour to this day. A grand lunch followed by a gift was given to all the teaching and the no teaching staff. A class wise celebrated was done to strengthen the personal bonding of the teachers & the students. The Pre Primary students presented beautiful hand made bouquet to the staff.
The richness and depth of celebrations express a culture accurately. The transformation from separation to unity, from conflict to peace, is the goal of all spiritual traditions. Imbibing the traditional values without compromising on the fun of a celebration is what we do at BOMIS Kurnool.Here a celebration is a package of learning, which involves in practical learning & gives a hands on approach on various Socio environmental issues which are aimed to be addressed during this program. Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated on 6th September 2024. With a lot of enthusiasm. Eco friendly ganeha making activity was conducted, igniting a creative spark in the young minds.

Respecting every language & encouraging kids to hone up their language skills is a daily routine at BOMIS. Hindi Diwas was celebrated on 14th September 2024. Principal gave a short speech on the importance of hindi as a national language . This was followed by speeches, poem recitations, and songs.
"In every struggle, remember the strength of the goddess within." A leader never quits. The indomitable spirit to with stand all odds & fight for the beloved ones should become the guiding light of every ones life. May the Courage, Strength, Persevarance , Endurance, Kindness & Compassion be inculcated & practised in our every day lives. .
