A teacher is the eternal guru and guide whose firm and loving grooming has shaped generations from times immemorial. She can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill love for learning .And to honor the hard work and determination towards the profession, Birla Open Minds International School, kurnool celebrated Teacher’s Day with great gusto and gaiety.
Students throughout Grade 1 to 7 have sent their wishes and love for their teachers through video and handmade cards. On 4th September Teacher’s Day was celebrated in the campus with the teachers. The Principal thanked all the teachers on this day, and emphasized on the significance of being a teacher.
The program was then led by the prayer followed by a peek into Dr Radharkrishan’s life and why Teacher’s Day is celebrated throught India. Teachers also played some fun filled activities and games that made their day a memorable one. It all ended with the delicious food arranged by the Admint team
The pandemic has confined the students to their homes, but it cannot dampen their patriotic spirit and pride for the nation. In the times of virtual learning, Birla Open Minds International School, kurnool had remodeled their Independence Day rituals to keep the fervor of this important day alive in students and staff members.
The students of Grade VII were asked to submit a small video talking about “What Independence means to them and about the role model who have inspired them”. The students took active participation by sending their messages through video. The students of Grade 1 to 6 celebrated an Independence week from 9th August to 13th August by making Tri-colour sandwiches, reciting poems, recalling freedom fighters and their sacrifices.
Staff Members contributed by making a Rangoli. Unfurling of National Flag was done in presence of the Principal and all the staff members.
Birla Open Minds International School, kurnool celebrated 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' to remember India's war victory and to pay tribute to Kargil Martyrs who are the symbol of courage and sacrifice for safeguarding the borders of the Country. On 26th July, 2021 students participated in various activities. Grade 1 and 2 students uploaded the video and PPT talking about the significance of Kargil Diwas. Grade 3 and 4 were involved in Slogan and Card making activity. Grade 5 to 7 participated in Essay writing and Poster Making.
The power point presentation by the teachers made the event informative and enlightening. It explained the students about the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the sacrifices of Kargil heroes, which was also followed by inspirational and emotional videos of the war. Students were literally in tears, after watching the heart touching videos. Patriotism is a social value, the feeling of patriotism is to be inculcated at school level to make sure that student becomes the responsible citizen of our Nation.
The day commenced with a surprise for children by their dear teacher who was dressed up as a corn seller. Kids were immensely excited. Children asked many questions from their teacher. Further, kids dressed in yellow and green attire having snacks made with corn. Kids were presented with a ppt which covered the journey of Corn from the farm to the table. It enlightened children about sowing and harvesting of corn along with its health benefits.
Recipe of corn chat was also shared with our tiny tots. Children pasted crumpled yellow colour paper on corn outline. Fun continued for the day as kids danced and sang rhymes related to corn, and watched a story. Children became knowledgeable and enjoyed thoroughly. Day was filled with lots of fun and excitement.
Festivals are celebrated to unite people together, share the happiness and to strengthen the bond between them. In school festivals are being celebrated to raise awareness among children about the culture and tradition of our country.
Keeping in mind the ongoing scenario the celebration was done virtually. Teachers narrated the stories of Lord Ganesh and described the importance of the day. PPT regarding the festival was shared among students and prepared paper cup Ganesh as craft, though it was a virtual celebration. The atmosphere was divine and spiritual. Let Lord Ganesh remove all the obstacles from our lives. Students recited shlokas, they showcase their creativity by drawing Ganesh images using colours, made Ganesh with green leaves. To add more essence to the celebration they relished Ladoos and created a festival environment being online. It was amazing to watch students participating in all the activities of festivals. The events ended with a lot of energy, enthusiasm and fun enjoyed by the kids.
The purpose of Grandparent’s Day is to honour grandparents, to give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children's children, and to help children become aware of the strength, information, and guidance older people can offer. Grandparents’ day celebration helps the younger generation to make an extra effort to express their love for their grandparents, celebrating and showing their gratitude towards them. Grandparents play an important role in bringing up their grandchildren. They inculcate the seed of knowledge and moral values to grow as an ethical person. Grandparents provide selfless love and care to their grandchildren. Grandparents are the blessing of God. Grandparents are the best company for their grandchildren.
Grandparents’ Day was celebrated on 17-9-2021 with a lot of enthusiasm and happiness. The event started with a welcome speech by children, followed by lighting the lamp and presenting a bouquet. The event continued by presenting beautiful cards made by children. There were games and quizzes conducted. Few grandparents got an opportunity to express their experiences as grandparents. The event ended with a dance and vote of thanks and with a lot of fun and entertainment.
Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. Lord Krishna always emphasized on justice and truth. He always fought against evil.
To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated on 27-8-2021. The students participated with a lot of enthusiasm by dressing up as lord Krishna and Radha, with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. The life history of lord Krishna was explained through ppt and videos. A lot of fun-filled activities like Shloka narration, singing and mesmerizing dance performance were given by the students. There was a live set up of Krishna swinging in a cradle and enjoying his favourite food butter. Students were overwhelmed watching this set up. Children thoroughly enjoyed the celebration; they decorated pots with glitters, paints and cotton. Students were told about important festivals that are celebrated are our country’s tradition and culture. These celebrations brought children together and developed social skills. The celebration ended with a lot of excitement in the kids
Raksha Bandhan was celebrated virtually with great enthusiasm. Students dressed up in the colourful traditional wear. They showed keen interest in the occasion. The day started with the interactive session between the teacher and the students about the Importance of the Raksha Bandhan.
The students were explained through “presentation” about the importance of the festival which strengthens the ties between brothers and sisters. Students were familiarized with the customs and rituals followed on Raksha Bandhan. To mark the occasion of Raksha Bandhan children also excitedly took part in Rakhi making activity. At last children enjoyed the sweets together.
